Different Styles of Dance Aerobics

From Traditional to Exotic, There's Something for Everyone

If you haven't done dance aerobics since the 1980s, and think of it as a series of slightly boring, stylized movements done by people in leotards and legwarmers, then guess again.

There are so many variations on dance aerobics these days that just about anyone can find a style that they'll enjoy. You'll still find old school aerobics in some gyms; others will offer the latest based on movies from hip-hop, salsa, Bollywood,  and even aerobics classes based on erotic dance.

There are many good reasons to incorporate dance aerobics into your workout. For those of us who are committed to dance aerobics, the music and camaraderie are important in keeping us coming back for more. Other enjoy the mix of popular dance movements with stretching, toning and resistance training.
